Don’t you think it’s kind of unfair that there are like a zillion books out there to soothe kids to sleep, but nothing for us? Let’s face it, don’t we really need it more than they do?! That’s why Bedtime Books For Grownups were created. These are books that your children read to YOU so you can drift easily off to slumberland instead of staring up at that water stain on the ceiling or listening to dogs barking and car alarms going off all night.
Okay, so how does it work? Simply snuggle up under the blankets, turn down the lights, then beg or bribe one of your kids to pull up a chair next to your bed and read you this book.
For those without children, simply trade off duties (like you’re suppose to do on trash day), so that on alternate nights one is the adult, and the other is the child. That way at least ONE of you will get a good night’s sleep and can deal with the next days problems with a clear head.
And for those sleeping alone, not to worry. After exhaustive, extensive, and extremely costly research, we have discovered if you simply read the book to yourself under your covers with a flashlight, you actually achieve the same results!
